19th Swiss RNA Workshop, Feb. 2, 2018 in Bern – deadline Dec. 3, 2017 –

The 19th  Swiss RNA Workshop will take place on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 in Bern. 

This workshop aims to bring together graduate students, postdocs and principal investigators interested in diverse aspects of RNA research.

This time, Sarah Woodson (Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA) and Julius Brennecke (Institute of Molecular Biotechnology, Vienna, Austria) will join us as invited keynote speakers from abroad. The Woodson lab studies the folding of RNAs and the  Brennecke lab focuses on the role of small RNAs in maintaining genome integrity. Together with about 10 selected short talks from the abstracts submitted by you and a poster session that will offer ample time for discussions, we will have an exciting program.

The Swiss RNA Workshop is financed by the NCCR RNA & Disease and the RNA Society. Thanks to this support and additional sponsoring by Haslab and Microsynth the participation to the Swiss RNA Workshop is free of charge.

As in previous years, we encourage you to submit abstracts of your work. From these, we will select about 10 speakers for oral presentations, while the other abstracts will be presented as posters. Although we encourage group leaders to give young researchers a chance to present their results, group leaders are of course also welcome to speak or present posters.

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is December 3rd, 2017. For logistic reasons, registration is required for everybody (including PIs), even if you do not submit an abstract. For registration, please click on the respective link on the  Swiss RNA Workshop Website.
