Procedure for importing a new mouse line to the CIG animal facility

If this new mouse line is used for an experimentation it has to be declared at the Service Vétérinaire Cantonal (SVC) using two separate forms written in French :
- Authorization request with a detailed experimental protocol (formulaire A + annexe).
- Description of the mouse line (fiche de données).
Any researcher or lab technician involved in animal experimentation must get the appropriate credit for animal experimentation (registration) or have a similar diploma (the equivalence is decided by the SVC).
If the mouse line will be regularly genotyped by our facility, you should provide a PCR protocol and primer sequences for the initial tests.
