Congratulations to Prof. Christophe Dessimoz on the receipt of a Sinergia Grant from SNSF. He will work with Prof. Bruno Lemaitre (EPFL) and Prof. Robert Waterhouse (DEE, UNIL) on a project entitled “integrated evolutionary and functional characterisation of the Drosophila immune peptidic secretome”. Beyond innate immunity, the project will improve methods for the comparative genomics of short peptides, which currently typically fly under the radar.
