Dear All,
We are pleased to announce the next SIB Bioinformatics Workshop entitled: “UNIX Basics – 2010”.
This workshop, to be held on Friday 26 November, aims to introduce participants to the main concepts of the UNIX Operating System as well as to provide the basic skills needed to work in a UNIX environment.
After the workshop, participants should be familiar with the basics of the UNIX environment, their user account, the manipulation of directories and files (including permissions), useful everyday commands, etc.
The target audience is the biomedical research community with no particular programming knowledge.
