2 postdoctoral fellow positions available at the University of Cardiff (UK)
The Dion lab at the UK Dementia Research Institute at Cardiff University is seeking two outstanding postdocs (research associates) to help develop innovative ways of contracting expanded CAG/CTG repeats for treating 14 different diseases. We are especially interested in the molecular mechanisms of contraction as well as the problem of off-target mutations. The work spans in vivo gene editing, vertebrate behaviour, and mechanisms of DNA repair. The UKDRI is at the cutting edge of neurodegeneration research. It benefits from outstanding infrastructure and a highly stimulating research environment. The positions are fully funded for 2 to 3 years by the UKDRI and the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation. Closing dates: June 16th and June 23rd.
