Gustavo is working as a lab technician in the Vincent Dion’s lab.
He studied in the Undergraduate Program of Genomic Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). As a part of my bachelor training, he spent a year as a visiting research intern in David L. Spector’s lab in Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. He investigated the radial positioning as well as the dynamics of the chromatin conformation of genes involved in the metastasis in breast epithelial cells. In the Dion lab, he will work on a project to determine whether there are changes in the nuclear organization of loci which harbor trinucleotide repeat sequences in disease and elucidate the impact of nuclear organization has on the instability of these loci.
