Katharina Moessinger studied Biology at Freiburg University where she was analyzing critical regulators of angiogenesis and vascular homeostasis in Prof. Augustin’s lab. After working as Junior Project Manager and Online Editor Medical e-learning at the publishing company Elsevier in Munich she started her PhD at the Institute of Pathology Mannheim. When her supervisor Philipp Stroebel moved to Goettingen she continued her PhD at the Institute of Pathology Goettingen. She obtained her PhD from Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg focusing on translational pathobiology and chromosomal aberrations in radiation induced soft tissue sarcomas.

In April 2015 she is visiting Prof. Keassmann’s lab to learn different methods and implement his lab in Heidelberg.
