Welcome to Oleksandr Dergai

Oleksandr Dergei have done his PhD in the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Kiev, Ukraine. During doing his PhD he was engaged in studying of endocytic adaptor proteins, their interactions, subcellular localization etc. One specific issue of he PhD was interaction of Epstein-Barr virus protein LMP2A with host proteins that are involved in endocytosis and cell signalling.
At October 1st, he joined the group of Prof. N. Hernandez, he plans to study how Pol III is regulated during the cell cycle, namely how MAF-1 posttranslational modifications contribute to its activation/inactivation and do they occur in a cyclic manner.
