Simone has joined the group of Fisun Hamaratoglu as a PhD student on July 1st, 2014. She will study the dynamic aspects of Hippo signalling in flies.
Simone is already an experienced Drosophila geneticist and worked in several fly labs, including Stefan Luschnig (University of Zurich) and Anne Ephrussi’s (EMBL, Heidelberg) laboratories, on different aspects of developmental biology during her studies. She has obtained her Master’s degree from Ruprecht Karls-Universität in Heidelberg for her work on membrane dynamics during tissue morphogenesis in the laboratory of Stefano de Renzis at the EMBL.
