2-year bioinformatician (post-doctoral level) position available at the Jacques Monod Institute & St Louis Hospital, Paris.
A fully funded two-years post-doctoral position is available to study the interaction of chromatin remodelers and modifiers with the nascent RNA. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic researcher with a specific expertise in computational genomics, ideally combined with a good knowledge of transcription, RNA biology and yeast biology. The post-doc will work on a collaborative project between the teams of D. Libri (Institut Jacques Monod, Paris, IJM http://www.ijm.fr/en/research/research-groups/metabolism-and-function-of-rna-in-the-nucleus/) and C. Dargemont (Institut Universitaire d’Hematologie, Hopital Saint Louis, IUH, Paris, http://www.jeanbernard.univ-paris-diderot.fr/en/research-teams/ubiquitin-and-dynamics-of-molecular-scaffolds-catherine-dargemont). She/he will benefit from the dynamic and stimulating scientific environment provided by the host Institutes and by the collaborative network of the “Who Am I” laboratory of excellence (LABEX). Within the LABEX the successful candidate will be able to participate to the development of a network of computational biologists and bioinformaticians with the aim of sharing ideas and expertise and jointly develop new tools of analysis. The Institute Jacques Monod and IUH are located in the center of Paris, in very pleasant and living urban environments, a few stops away from Paris historical center but also easily reached from many Paris suburban areas. The position is available immediately, the candidate should ideally start before the end of the year.
