Catalysing innovation: life sciences and patents

This course given by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property will be held on April 26th, 2012, 9:00-17:30, at the auditorium Maternité, Av. Pierre-Decker 2, CHUV. The participation is free for employees of the CHUV and the University of Lausanne. But for logistic reasons, inscription is mandatory.

Have you ever wondered whether your research might have an important economic potential and should be protected? What are the requirements to obtain a patent in the life sciences, and what are the “dos” and “don’ts”? Or are you already an inventor on a patent application and want to learn more about the patenting process? Innovation is a major driver of economic growth and social well-being, and a well-functioning system for the protection of intellectual property rights is the foundation of an innovative society.

We have the chance to get a first-hand insight into these topics by experts from the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.
