The “house of sustainability” is a student association conducting different projects on the UNIL campus (Vortex building).

Did you know?

– they host a board game night every Thursday from 7 P.M. !
– they host a 2nd hand shop and a free distribution of unsold food given by major supermarkets from 4 P.M. on Fridays!
– they are working on an accessible radio program on Ecology science and also a bike sharing project. If you have an idea of project or would like to give a hand sometimes, do not hesitate to contact them!

The main website is in French but everyone or so can inform you about these projects in English.

Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) – workshops on SDGs for Early Career Researchers

Workshops on SDGs for Early Career ResearchersA series of free virtual workshops each focused on a UN Sustainable Development Goal will start in January.

The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) – of which UNIL is a member – in collaboration with the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network and UNESCO, is holding a series of free virtual workshops, each thematically focused on a UN Sustainable Development Goal. The workshops will bring together early career researchers (ECRs) from all around the world (PhD students in their final year and post-docs), who are interested in establishing connections to colleagues in their field.

Format of the workshops
Each networking workshop lasts for 90 minutes, and will be launched by internationally distinguished speakers who will provide an overview of the major research opportunities and challenges in the broad topic domain. Following the introductory speakers, participants will break up into virtual meeting rooms, which will be set up according to the research interests (within the session’s SDG theme) indicated by participants during the registration process, so that they can develop their international networks and collaborations.Registrations to the first two workshops are open. Only researchers affiliated to UNIL or another WUN member university can register.
