The Center for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona (CRG, http://www.crg.eu) has two openings for junior group leader positions.

These are non-tenured, up to 9 year positions for outstanding young scientists to build their research groups. Successful candidates are offered  equipped lab space (that can host up to 7-9 lab members), salaries for the group leader, one postdoc, one PhD student and a technician during the 9 years (plus possibly additional positions through internal open calls), and a generous consumables annual budget.  

The Institute has strong core facilities and a collegial, international and collaborative atmosphere that favors strong interactions between the groups, both within the CRG and within the wider Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (http://www.prbb.org). In its 14 years of existence, junior group leaders of the CRG have gone on to senior positions at excellent Institutes, including HemlholtzZentrum Munich, IGBMC Strasbourg, Imperial College London, IRB Barcelona, Oxford University, University of California or University of Vienna.
