Junior Research Group Leader (TV-L)
The DFG Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden,
CRTD, focuses on fundamental and translational research on Regeneration,
Tissue Engineering and Stem Cells. The CRTD in addition to its core groups
consist of a network of more than 90 research groups of various scientific
institutions in Dresden with several commercial partners, working in the areas
of Haematology, Diabetes, Neurodegenerative Disorders and Bone
Regeneration.
Available immediately, we are offering a position for
1 Junior Research Group Leader (TV-L)
to work in the following areas: “Animal models of regeneration”, “Preclinical
approaches of stem cells in regenerative therapy”, “Cell biological basis of
stem cell/progenitor cell development”, “Engineering of stem cell behaviour”,
“Engineering of tissue regeneration”, “Immunotolerance in regeneration”. The
position is limited to 6 years. Remuneration depends on tariff based
classification of duties to be performed and the candidates’ prior experience
(TV-L). According to the budgetary situation continuation of employment
(Dienstverhältnis) may be possible after positive evaluation (tenure track
option). Applicants are expected to have a relevant science-related university
degree, an excellent doctoral degree in the field of biomedicine as well as an
outstanding international scientific record in biomedical research.
Funding will be provided for the position of the group leader, personnel, basic
equipment and running costs. Together with the existing core groups, the new
junior research group will be housed in a new state-of-the-art building
equipped with a comprehensive shared central technology platform. The
building is located next to the Biotechnology Centre of the TUD
(www.biotec.tu-dresden.de), the Max-Planck Institute of Molecular Cell
Biology and Genetics (www.mpi-cbg.de) and the Faculty of Medicine Carl
Gustav Carus Campus.
