I would like to draw your attention to our upcoming workshop, “Patenting in Life Sciences & Chemistry 2027.” This year marks the fifth edition of this successful event, organized by Life Sciences Switzerland (LS2) in collaboration with the Swiss Chemical Society and patent experts from the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.
Designed specifically for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, the workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to intellectual property and patenting in the life sciences and chemistry sectors. Participants will gain valuable insights into patent strategy, intellectual property challenges in academia and start-up environments, as well as ethical considerations surrounding innovation and commercialization. The program also highlights career opportunities in intellectual property management and patent-related professions.
Previous editions have been highly successful, with participants consistently praising the relevance and quality of the workshop. Several attendees have even gone on to secure positions in patent offices and intellectual property-related roles.

- Participation fee: CHF 415, including registration, workshop materials, catering throughout the event, and one night’s accommodation in a shared double room (Optional upgrade: Single-room accommodation available for an additional CHF 25 – paid directly by the participant.)
