The project

A GRAL funded PhD position is available in our newly established team at the IBS in Grenoble, France. The Wild team has a keen interest in understanding the mechanism of diverse polysaccharide synthases on a molecular level. We combine in vitro biochemical approaches with single-particle cryo-EM to study the molecular mechanism of the enzymes and their assembly into macromolecular complexes. The IBS (Institut de Biologie Structurale) is located together with the EMBL Grenoble and the ESRF synchroton facility at the EPN campus and has excellent infrastructure for pursuing challenging structural biology projects and a great scientific community.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate with a Master in structural biology, molecular biology or biochemistry. Experience in protein purification and characterization would be an advantage. The candidate is expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and good Master degree grades.
