Description
Novartis is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate within Biologics Research & Development (BPRD). The candidate will contribute to the development of next generation cell culture bioprocesses based on Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell lines. Objective is the identification of new targets for cell line modifications and the definition of selection criteria for next generation production cell lines/bioprocesses. The candidate should have an excellent background in Systems Biology as well as experience in conception and analysis of Omics studies (next gen sequencing and gene expression profiling).
Requirements
Profound Knowledge about Systems Biology of mammalian cells
Solid background in mammalian or Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell lines of advantage
Experience in Gene Expression Profiling (Affymetrix)
Experience in Next Generation Sequencing (e.g. mRNA Seq, sequencing)
Conception, coordination and analysis of Omics studies
Knowledge in Bioprocess Development desirable
Knowledge in bioinformatics and statistical tools for analysis of huge data sets
Experience with scripting and programming tools of advantage
Experience in sequence data handling (e.g. alignment/blast/ search/mapping/annotations)
Integrative approach for data analysis
Integration into team of scientists, communication skills
