The hybrid seminar « Science Ethics at CIG » will take place on Thursday January 27 from 1pm to 5pm.
This course, open to all Genopode members, should be of broad interest, including for those who already attended in 2020 (see details below).

The course:
– Is compulsory for the scientific staff who joined the CIG groups after February 2020 and who are employed by UNIL.
– Is validated as 0.5 days of continuing training in animal experimentation.
– Provides both conceptual guidelines and resources on scientific integrity, as well as practical considerations on science ethics at the bench (experimental design, image manipulation: microscopy, immunoblots, data presentation).
– Proposes substantial new content related to fraud and scientific integrity at UNIL: Advances in scientific integrity at UNIL; A testimony of fraud in a CIG group; Self-introduction of FBM’s ombudspersons (former and current) and of FBM’s Integrity Delegate, to discuss procedures in the event of scientific misconduct, and a frequent cause of conflicts: Authorship.
