Dear Postdocs, Postdoc Associations and Colleagues,

We are contacting you as the organizing committee of the “PIs of Tomorrow” session at the upcoming LS2 Annual Meeting 2026 in Zurich (https://annual-meeting.ls2.ch/2026/specials/pis-of-tomorrow).
The “PIs of Tomorrow” session offers postdocs interested in pursuing an academic career the unique opportunity to present a plenary talk, modelled after a professorship interview seminar. A multidisciplinary panel of professors will evaluate the finalists during this session.
We are currently seeking evaluators to assist in the critical process of reviewing and selecting the finalists. Your expertise and input will be invaluable in this selection process.
As an evaluator, your responsibilities will include:
Evaluating up to 3-4 applications: Each application consists of a cover letter (1 page), a research plan (max. 3 pages), a graphical abstract (1 page), and an SNSF CV (max. 3 pages).
Assigning points based on an evaluation form: Points will be awarded for criteria such as quality, novelty, impact, research output, collaborations, and mobility. The results from all evaluators will be compiled into a final spreadsheet.
The evaluation period will take place from end of October to November 23, 2025.
