“Toward Unravelling
the Forest of Life”
Christophe Dessimoz studied Biology at ETH Zürich. He, then, moved to the Computer Science department where he obtained his PhD in 2009, under the supervision of Gaston Gonnet. He remained at ETH Zürich, and became an assistant professor in 2011. Since the fall of 2011, Christophe is part at the EMBL-European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, as a visiting scientist working in Nick Goldman’s group. Also since 2012, he is affiliated with the Cambridge Computational Biology Institute at the University of Cambridge, where he teaches a popular doctoral training course entitled “Reviews in Computational Biology”.
