Tomorrow’s PIs: The future of Swiss Research, a special session of the LS2 Annual Meeting 2017

The LS2 Annual Meeting 2017 offers PostDocs an opportunity to kick-start their academic careers in Switzerland. When selected to participate as a speaker in the session “Tomorrow’s PIs: The future of Swiss Research”, you will have the chance to present your re-search topic and future plans in 15 minutes to an audience of scientists and to a knowledgeable jury composed of professors and other life scientists.

The best presentation(s) will be awarded a prize. However, everyone is a winner, as all speakers in the session will receive feedback from the members of the jury over lunch immediately afterward.

Moreover, as a participant in the LS2 Annual Meeting 2017, you will have the opportunity to expand or refresh your network in Switzerland, to exchange with scientists in and outside your field, and to enjoy a two-day meeting in the beautiful city of Zurich. Only applicants having ties to Switzerland will be considered (i.e. Swiss citizenship, Swiss residency, past or ongoing affiliation with a Swiss institution of at least two years).

To apply, please follow the guidelines below:

Submit a single PDF document entitled “YourSurname_LS2_Tomorrows PI.pdf” to carolin.vonschoultz@ls2.ch containing:

1. Cover letter highlighting your eligibility (half page)

2. Abstract of your presentation including past work and future research plans with their scientific impact and significance (max. 300 words)

3. Brief CV including your publications (max. 2 pages)

Applications must be received by November 15th, 2016.
If you are selected, your travel and accommodation fees will be paid by the LS2. We are looking forward to your application and hope to welcome you on the 2nd – 3rd of February 2017 in Zurich!
