My name is Peter Sabol and I come from Slovakia, but spent most of my life in neighboring Czechia to study Biology and Plant Physiology at the Charles University.
I also did my Ph.D. in the lab of Viktor Žárský in Prague, Czechia, where I studied various aspects of plant exocyst complex function in the context of cell polarity establishment and maintenance.
Having a broader interest in plant biology, I am now joining the lab of Prof. Christian Fankhauser, where I would like to uncover some novel aspects of how plants respond to various light cues at both the cellular/molecular and whole plant level. I hope my work as a postdoc in the lab will help shed more light on the topic.
