I am Clara Roujeau, a young French scientist. I defended my PhD in June 2016, at Institut Cochin, Paris under the supervision of Dr Ralf Jockers and Dr Julie Dam. During my PhD, I studied two new molecular mechanisms of central leptin resistance associated with obesity and type 2 diabetes. In February, I join the lab of Pr Thorens at the CIG of UNIL. This would be the opportunity to expand my knowledge on type 2 diabetes, with a focus on the role of GLUT2 in the beta pancreatic cells.
