My name is Geoffrey Cobb, and I joined the Fankhauser lab as a new PhD student in October 2019. The aim of my PhD is to discover genes which regulate phototropism (bending of plants towards a light source).
Prior to this, I completed my integrated master’s degree at Durham University in the UK with Dr. Miguel de-Lucas. My master’s project focused on the role of chromatin modifications in regulating seedling de-etiolation in Arabidopsis.
