Jelena have finished her master studies at the Laboratory for Human Molecular genetics on the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engeneering in Belgrade, Serbia. Main goals of her thesis were to investigate the effects of SOX2 overexpression on migratory potential, prolferation and differentiation of embryonic carcinoma NT2/D1 cells. Since then she became very interested in working on stem cell differentiation and neural development, and since January she start working on the potential role of HCF-1 in these processes in prof. Herr’s lab at the Center for Integrative genomics
