Laura Gainche is a French geneticist/physiologist. She spent 2007-09 doing her Master’s in genetics in Paris and worked on 3 neuroscience-related projects abroad, at the University of Trieste, Harvard University/Mass Gen Hospital, and Tokyo Riken Brain Science Institute. She is back from a 4-year PhD working on sleep in quadriplegia at the University of Melbourne Australia. Her continuous passion for sleep brought her to join the Pr. Franken’s group on the 1st of February 2014, where she will refocus on the molecular/physiological aspects of sleep in the mouse model.
