Maria Nicla Loviglio has joined the group of Prof. Reymond as a PhD student in September 2011 to carry out her thesis work. She received a Master’s Degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine from the University of Bari in December 2010. She performed a 12 months-internship in the group of Dr. G.Merla in the Medical Genetics Unit of “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza “ Hospital (S. G. Rotondo, Italy) working on TRIM proteins’ orthologs in zebrafish. She has carried out a 6 months-postgraduation fellowship aimed at studying the role of transposable elements in the transcriptional regulation of zebrafish p53 target genes in the same laboratory.
