Laura joined B. Thorens'group on 01.11.2011 as Post Doc.
Laura studied molecular life sciences (BSc) and
clinical molecular sciences (MSc) at Maastricht University,
the Netherlands. She finalized the master programme with a
thesis about "mutations in the gene encoding agrin, a player
at the neuromuscular junction" at the école normale
supérieure in Lyon, France. Afterwards, she obtained a PhD
degree in health, medicine and life sciences entitled 'CD36;
a target to restore cardiac function in type 2 diabetes" at
the cardiovascular research institute Maastricht (CARIM),
Maastricht, the Netherlands.
