We are looking for a passionate and creative scientist who will actively participate in the development, coordination and follow up of the research activities in the group of Prof. Liliane Michalik at the CIG (Center for Integrative Genomics) of the University of Lausanne.

Expected start date in position : 01.10.2021 or to be agreed
Contract length : 1 year, renewable maximum 4 years
Activity rate : 50%-60%
Workplace : University of Lausanne, Dorigny

Your responsibilities

You will become acquainted with the field of skin responses to injuries. You will design and conduct experiments as part of ongoing research projects in the laboratory. You will interpret and communicate results. You will keep up to date with the literature. You will prepare, write and publish research articles. You will be in charge of following up on research and you will assist the PI in the coordination of the laboratory activities.

Your qualifications

PhD or MD-PhD degree in life sciences. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and team player; will have the ability to work independently with strong work ethic and critical thinking; will have experience in cell culture, RNA and protein extraction, RT-PCR; will have excellent communication and organization skills. She/he will be fluent in English and will have excellent writing skills in French and English. Previous experience in working with mice is a plus, but not mandatory.
