3rd NEU meeting, December 7, 2015 in Basel

Present your work at the 3rd NEU meeting

The SV postdoc association and the BioScience Network Lausanne are gladly continuing our collaboration with the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research (NIBR) in Basel: the Novartis-EPFL-UNIL (NEU) Meeting. The 3rd NEU meeting will take place on the 7th of December 2015 (Monday) in Basel.

The aim of this meeting is to promote interactions among researchers conducting similar types of research in academia and in industry. PhD students and postdocs will have the opportunity to present their work and learn about research at NIBR. Besides, participants will attend exclusive lab visits at NIBR. Please note that this meeting is not meant to be a job fair.

The tentative layout of the day is as follows:

  • arrival in Basel at 9 AM (costs of transportation are on the participants)
  • presentations by EPFL/UNIL scientists
  • lunch break and poster session
  • presentations by NIBR scientists
  • lab visits
  • departure to Lausanne around 6 PM

We are looking for PhD students and postdocs from EPFL and UNIL performing research in these areas:

  1. Immunity and inflammation
  2. Microbiota
  3. Stem cells
  4. Epigenetics
  5. Oncology
  6. Human genetics
  7. Next generation sequencing and genomics
  8. Proteomics
  9. Neuroscience
  10. Receptors and ligands
  11. Organ regeneration
  12. Physiology of disease
  13. Biosensors

 

The registration will start on the 7th of September and the deadline is the 30th of September 201512:00. The organizing committee, together with reviewers from Novartis and EPFL/UNIL, will select participants based on their abstracts. The results of the selection will be communicated by October 15th, 2015. Please follow the link below for registration , where we ask you to upload your abstract of maximum 500 words.
