Welcome to Fanny!

Fanny Langlet obtained a PhD under the supervision of Dr Bénédicte Dehouck and Dr Vincent Prévot at the University of Lille. Her graduate work was focused on the role of tanycytes within the blood–hypothalamus interface, and has highlighted a new concept in thFannye glucostatic theory of appetite control. For her postdoctoral training, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Domenico Accili in 2014 to study the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of key hepatic enzymes involved in the maintenance of glucose homeostasis. She joined the lab of Prof. Thorens in October 2017 as a Maître assistant Ambizione FNS. Her research project focuses on the common and subpopulation-specific molecular mechanisms underlying glucose-sensing by tanycytes.
