Title: Research technician (Laboratin-e).

Presentation: We are seeking to recruit a research technician to work in the laboratory of Professor Julia Santiago at the Department of Plant Molecular Biology (DBMV). Our lab is interested in plant development and in particular, in understanding how plants sense chemical and mechanical changes in the cell wall, and how they integrate this information inside the cell to finally regulate cell growth, shaping and protection. In the lab we use an integrative approach including genetics, cell biology and protein biochemistry.

• Contract length: 1 year, renewable

• Activity rate: 100%

• Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny.

Qualifications:

• CFC of laboratory technician or equivalent education.

• Laboratory experience, knowledge of molecular biology techniques.

• Be able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Good organizational skills and lab management.

• Spoken and written French and English.

• Experience in cell culture and protein biochemistry, or plant genetics would be an advantage.
