L’éprouvette (UNIL) is looking for lab instructors to organise scientific workshops (science communication).

L’éprouvette, the science and society laboratory of the UNIL, is looking for students (from the third year) and assistants in biology or medicine to animate scientific workshops for schools and families. These workshops are held from Monday to Saturday, upon registration. The working hours depend on the number of registrations. The duration of the different activities varies from 2 to 4 hours on average. These workshops can take place at L’éprouvette (Amphipole) and sometimes outside as in schools or festivals. The services are paid by the hour.

Acquire skills and tools to launch your project: support by tutors, coaches and entrepreneurs during 16 weeks and up to CHF 10.000 to develop your solution,

Access the new creative, collaborative and interdisciplinary UCreate space from Villanova: in the heart of the campus, dedicated to entrepreneurship, you will be able to work on your project, boost your team and exchange with other participants

Develop your network: an access to the HUB community, visibility among the regional innovation ecosystem and facilitated access toward potential support at the end of the program.

PharmaCamp event – Bern (CH), Sep. 15 & 16, 2022

Would you like to work in Pharma Industry, but don’t know how to get in? Would you like to get an inside look to the pharmaceutical business or opening a biotech startup?
PharmaCamp is a new event in Switzerland that will provide you just that. Showcase your skills to top companies & professionals and compete with your peers while having fun and network! 
Winners of the challenge collect a cash prize.

WHO CAN APPLY? From natural science students, to engineers and business people; from Master students to recent graduates, PhDs and PostDocs.

FORMAT 
Event is a case challenge competition that opens with a talk series about new trends in pharma with a focus on personalised medicine and about opening a biotech startup.
The selected 25 applicants will be divided in 5 teams and will have almost 24 h to come up with a solution to ascience/business challenge. 
The solutions will be presented in front of an expert panel and the winning team will be presented with 2’000 CHF!

SAC visit : June 30 and July 1, 2022

The CIG’s Scientific Advisory Committee will be visiting the department on Thursday and Friday, June 30 and July 1, 2022

Please take good note that there is a poster session and aperitif, Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Posters can remain in the building hall between the CIG symposium’s poster session and the SAC poster session.

For PAT and assistants, discussions with members of the SAC are planned just before at 3:30 pm in room 3027 and 5022, respectively.

The INSERM has just launched a call for the recruitment of 12 Junior professors.

The Junior Professorships (CPJ) are intended for researchers with strong potential to manage and lead research teams, as well as to participate in international projects.
These tenure-track positions are based on fixed-term contracts (from 3 to 6 years), and should lead to permanent INSERM positions (as Research Directors).

Science & SciLifeLab Prize, Deadline 15.07.2022

Apply for the Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists, an annual prize awarded to early-career scientists.
The prize is presented in four categories: Cell and Molecular Biology, Genomics, Proteomics and Systems Biology Approaches, Ecology and Environment, and Molecular Medicine.
