S.Martin: EMBO young investigator award
Selected by EMBO Members annually for their high research standards, EMBO Young Investigators are some of Europe’s most talented young scientists.
Sophie Martin is an SNF Professor at the CIG since September 2007. She works on cell polarity in yeast and recently published a study in Nature: Polar gradients of the DYRK-family kinase Pom1 couple cell length with the cell cycle2009. Nature 459: 852-6, Epub 2009 May 27.
She is the 3rd CIG group leader to be recognized by the EMBO young investigator programme, after C.Fankhauser and H.Kaessmann.
