Jacques Anken will be working at the CIG in August in Dr Liliane Michalik’s group as an Intern to learn the basics of some technical laboratory approaches. He will work under the supervision of Dr. Ilenia D’Errico on her project: “miRNAs and PPARbeta as integrative determinants of skin carcinogenesis in response to UVB”.
In the frame of the Summer Undergraduate Research (SUR) program 2011, two students will join the CIG:
Dr. David Gatfield will host Gabriel Vinicius de Almeida (from the University of Campinas / São Paulo) in his lab from July 4th to August 26th, 2011.
Dr. Liliane Michalik will host Teresa Galera (from the University of Granada) in her lab from July 10th to August 26th, 2011.
Pierre-Olivier Regamey will join the PAF and Marie-Agnès Doucey’s lab on July 1st, 2011, as a technician.
Aida Sarkamarian is joining the CIG on June 1st, 2011 in Dr. Liliane Michalik‘s group as an intern. She will be working on the project: “Characterization of the miRNA machinery in the wounded skin of new born mice”, under the supervision of Gwendoline Degueurce. She will leave the CIG on July 15th, 2011.
Mariano Schiffrin will join Prof. Béatrice Desvergne’s lab on May 1st as a PhD Student to work on his project entitled: “PPARS Function on Mesenchymal Stem Cell Differentiation and Bone Metabolism”.
Nourhène Khaled will come back at the CIG on May 1st in Prof. Walter Wahli’s lab as a Intern to work on the role of PPARs on Metabolism. Last year, Nourhène was working as a Master Student with Prof. Walter Wahli.
Linda Müller will join Prof. Béatrice Desvergne‘s group as a master student on March 17th, 2011. She will be working on her master thesis entitled: “Tsukushin: a novel common target gene of liver metabolism and regulators” under the supervision of Dr Cristina Casals Casas.
